Data controller
Suomiatlas is an independent service operated by Italo Armenti (Finland).
For privacy matters, contact: [email protected].
What data we process
- Email address and password (the password is stored only as a salted hash).
- Subscription status (free / Pro), relayed by the payment provider Dodo Payments.
- Technical logs (e.g. IP address and browser) for the security of the service.
- Visitor analytics via Google Analytics, only with your consent.
- Advertising cookies and device identifiers via Google AdSense, only with your consent.
Purpose and legal basis
We process account data to provide the service (contract), logs for security (legitimate interest), and analytics and advertising on the basis of your consent.
Payments
Payments and billing are handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as Merchant of Record and is responsible for EU VAT. Card details go directly to Dodo — we never see or store them. See Dodo Payments' own privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (Google LLC, USA) only if you accept cookies. Data may be transferred to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can decline; the service works without analytics.
Advertising
The area statistics pages show ads through Google AdSense (Google LLC, USA). Google and its advertising partners may set cookies and process device identifiers to serve and measure ads.
Personalised ads are shown only with your consent. Consent is collected through Google's certified consent form (IAB TCF), and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time in the same form. Without consent, ads are non-personalised.
You can manage Google's ad settings at myadcenter.google.com. Data may be transferred to the US under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Ads are not shown to Pro subscribers.
Storage location and retention
Account and service data are stored within the EU. Exception: Google Analytics and Google AdSense process data on Google's infrastructure (including the US). Data is kept as long as the account exists or the law requires.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data, and to withdraw your consent. Send a request by email. You may also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
